Test-Taking Suggestions
  Familiarize yourself with how to use the computer and the kinds of materials, questions, and directions that are in the test in order to use the allotted time for every section wisely. Become familiar with the formats and requirements of every section of the test as described in the tutorials.

  Read the directions at the beginning of every section cautiously. They will tell you the whole number of questions in the section and time allowed for the section. In addition they will give you all details accurately what is needed to answer every question kind and can be reviewed as necessary.

  Read every question cautiously and systematically. Previous to answering a question you should decide precisely what is being asked. Read and understand all probable answers for all the time not to miss significant information.

  Pace yourself so that you have enough time to answer each question. Keep your mind on the amount of questions and the number of time that is remained during your testing session. Do not waste too much time on a particular question.

  Answer every question in every section. This will allow you to get your best possible score. You must answer every question in the Listening and Structure sections earlier than you can continue to the next one. test_taking_suggestionsIf you do not know the answer to a question, eliminate any answer choices that are clearly wrong.

  In Listening and Structure, corroborate your answer only when you are sure you are prepared to go on to the next question. You cannot exclude questions or go back and modify answers. In Reading, you will be allowed to return and modify your answers.

  Practice by using the Writing Topics found in the TOEFL Information Bulletin to get ready for the Writing section of the test. You will have 30 minutes to compose your assigned essay. You may handwrite your essay or type it on the computer.
